CAIRO: The Egyptian government on Monday freed executives of Internet giant Google who was arrested last week during protests against President Hosni Mubarak.
"Freedom is a gift that worth fighting for," said Google's Head of Marketing for the Middle East and North Africa, Wael Ghonim, he wrote in a message on Twitter, @ ghonim, soon after his release.
"Relieved at all - Wael Ghonim been released. Our love for him and family, "wrote Mountain View, Google's Twitter page which comes from California.
Ghonim which is the Egyptian citizen, was detained on January 28 at Roundabout Tahrir Cairo after he joined the thousands of citizens demanding the resignation of Mubarak.

Google last week asking for help to find Ghonim, who was in Egypt for a conference when the protests began.
On Twitter, Ghonim asked everyone to pray for Egypt and the Egyptian government expressed fears when planning a war crimes against its people.
"We were all ready to die," he wrote in a message.
Amnesty International has warned that Ghonim will receive punishment in the prisons of Egypt after his family reported that they were unable to confirm the arrest Ghonim or know existence for a few days. (MSW) (binis.com)
