Transitional Government of Egypt: Mubarak should learn from Suharto

Demands from the demonstrans in Tahrir Square, Cairo, Egypt continues, despite Hosni Mubarak's government declared that it had applied Night Curview to not leave the house from 16.00 h to 08.00 am. They remained to demand for President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt to dissolve his Government and to be replaced by a more domocratic Government.

Mohamed ElBaradei, former Director General of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency who was arrested by the Government of Hosni Mubarak, finally released back, and joined the protester in Tahrir Square. He demanded that President Hosni Mubarak immediately resigned from his presidency. The same demands called for by the Moslem Brotherhood leader Mohamed Badei, for Mubarak's retreat to be replaced by a democratically elected Government.

While that result from burning buildings and the closure of shops, the people of Egypt began to feel the shortage of food, and unable to work for a living. Meanwhile it was reported that looters of shops and buildings turned out to be undercover police officers to destabilize the situation in Egypt. The criminals who escape from the prisons of Egypt can be partially recaptured by Egyptian security forces. Which is feared by the people of Egypt are the news of the return of police on the streets of Egypt tomorrow morning, Monday, January 31, 2011, which allows clashed with the protesters as before. Because between Egyptian troops and protesters have been there an unwritten deal to make peace.

Difficulties faced by Egypt at this time is not yet formed a new Cabinet of Egypt, except there is only the President, Vice President, and Prime Minister who is not approved by a majority of the people of Egypt. President Barack Obama has a dilemma for forcing Mubarak to resign, because he is a staunch ally of the U.S. long enough. So Obama is only asking for a peaceful transition to democratic government. Obama can only ask for help other allies in the Middle East, like Turkey and Saudi Arabia for urging Mubarak to step down from the presidency of Egypt.

Mubarak should follow the example of former President Suharto who are willing to resign his presidency that has been assumed 32-years long, so the transition can take place in a democratic and peaceful process. It will be the best way for the country of Egypt.
