"Relieved at all - Wael Ghonim been released. Our love for him and family, "wrote Mountain View, Google's Twitter page which comes from California.
Ghonim which is the Egyptian citizen, was detained on January 28 at Roundabout Tahrir Cairo after he joined the thousands of citizens demanding the resignation of Mubarak.
Google last week asking for help to find Ghonim, who was in Egypt for a conference when the protests began.

Hillary Clinton: "Perfect Storm" will hit Middle Eastern Countries if True Reform not implemented

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in her speech at the European Leaders Meeting on Saturday, February 5, 2011 predicted that a "Perfect Storm" will hit the Middle Eastern Countries" if the current ruling governments would not implement true reforms in the political and economical sectors. Young people are demanding equal opportunities in politics and economy, not only the government, ruling party and their cronies that have these opportunities.

The current ruling governments should not oppress the democratic movement that are demanding democarcy, freedom of speech and equal economic opportunities.

Meanwhile, leaders of the previously banned Muslim Brotherhood on Sunday, 6th of February 2011 made a landmark talks with the Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman.

Previously on Friday. 4th of February 2011, Son of Mubarak, Gamal Mubarak quit the National Democratic Party and this made it possible to appoint a new NDP Secretary General. He was Dr. Hossam Badrawi, a well-known figure in Eqypt who had a good track record.

Because of the provisions of the current Constitution of Egypt only allow individual to be a Presidential Candidate of Egypt, the probable political scenario is that NDP, the largest political party of Egypt will appoint Omar Sulaiman as the new Egyptian President to replace Hosni Mubarak. He would then form a new Egyptian Cabinet with members representing the various factions currently exist in Egypt.

The situation in Cairo was that the protesters declared that they would remain at the Tahrir Square so long as Mr. Mubarak still sits at his presidency chair. They would return home only if Mr. Mubarak relinquishes his presidency. The longer the protest is maintained, Egypt's economic condition would become worse.

Transitional Government of Egypt: Mubarak should learn from Suharto

Demands from the demonstrans in Tahrir Square, Cairo, Egypt continues, despite Hosni Mubarak's government declared that it had applied Night Curview to not leave the house from 16.00 h to 08.00 am. They remained to demand for President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt to dissolve his Government and to be replaced by a more domocratic Government.

Mohamed ElBaradei, former Director General of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency who was arrested by the Government of Hosni Mubarak, finally released back, and joined the protester in Tahrir Square. He demanded that President Hosni Mubarak immediately resigned from his presidency. The same demands called for by the Moslem Brotherhood leader Mohamed Badei, for Mubarak's retreat to be replaced by a democratically elected Government.

While that result from burning buildings and the closure of shops, the people of Egypt began to feel the shortage of food, and unable to work for a living. Meanwhile it was reported that looters of shops and buildings turned out to be undercover police officers to destabilize the situation in Egypt. The criminals who escape from the prisons of Egypt can be partially recaptured by Egyptian security forces. Which is feared by the people of Egypt are the news of the return of police on the streets of Egypt tomorrow morning, Monday, January 31, 2011, which allows clashed with the protesters as before. Because between Egyptian troops and protesters have been there an unwritten deal to make peace.

Difficulties faced by Egypt at this time is not yet formed a new Cabinet of Egypt, except there is only the President, Vice President, and Prime Minister who is not approved by a majority of the people of Egypt. President Barack Obama has a dilemma for forcing Mubarak to resign, because he is a staunch ally of the U.S. long enough. So Obama is only asking for a peaceful transition to democratic government. Obama can only ask for help other allies in the Middle East, like Turkey and Saudi Arabia for urging Mubarak to step down from the presidency of Egypt.

Mubarak should follow the example of former President Suharto who are willing to resign his presidency that has been assumed 32-years long, so the transition can take place in a democratic and peaceful process. It will be the best way for the country of Egypt.

Obama discussed the Egyptian leadership turnover patterns mimic Indonesia 1998

U.S. administration of President Obama's leadership, together with Egyptian officials have held discussions to replace Vice President Hosni Mubarak with President Omar Suleiman in the shortest possible time, could be on the afternoon of Friday, February 4, 2011 according to the ultimatum given by the Anti-protesters Mubarak is planning the largest mass gathering in the history of Egypt in Tahrir Square.

This pattern is similar to the turnover tops Indonesia's National Leadership in 1998 from President Suharto to Vice President BJ Habibie, who took very smoothly, when preceded by the upheaval of students who bring a lot of casualties. This pattern is the best choice from several alternatives, because with this pattern, the resistance of the Egyptian regime was in power at this time can be minimized.

Although it was reported that President Mubarak has not approved them, but this plan has received support General Sami Enan, Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Field Marshall Mohamed Tantawi, Egypt's Minister of Defense, thus allowing continuation of the Constitutional changes towards a more democratic Egypt.

With the resignation of Mubarak, it will immediately transition to the new Cabinet was formed involving all elements of Egyptian national Egyptian, including representatives of groups that were previously banned Muslim Brotherhood operates in Egypt in the era of Mubarak's regime.
It seems this solution would be the best option at this time for the Egyptians, so that the Anti-Mubarak protesters to immediately stop their activities, and return to their homes and Egyptian situation can quickly return to normal.

Let us pray for the situation in Egypt to return to normal, and democracy and freedom of speech can be upheld, and welfare can be achieved.

"Day of Departure" had passed, but Mubarak remains in his presidential chair

Friday, February 4, 2011 which is expected by the Anti-Mubarak protesters as "Day of Departure" for Mubarak to leave Egypt, go to the place of exile, but until daybreak, Mubarak still sitting quietly on a padded chair. Reason Mubarak, even though he was tired of being the President and the army for 62 years, she worried if he goes there will be chaos in Egypt. When protesters shouted throughout Friday and Saturday morning, Mubarak seemed to close her eyes and probably sleeping peacefully in his palace.

What are the actual demands of the Anti-Mubarak protesters that? The details are as follows:

  1. Dissolve Egyptian Parliament because in the previous election many fraud occurred
  2. Form a Transitional Government consisting of all elements of the Egyptian People
  3. Repeal Emergency Act
  4. Making changes to Egypt's constitution with a more Democratic One
  5. Take firm action against perpetrators of human rights abuses and corruption in Egypt in the past.

No less than President Barack Obama, U.S. Secretary of Hillary Clinton, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Prime Minister of Turkey Tayyip Erdogan, Ayatollah Ali Khameini from Iran, the UN Secretary General Ban-ki Moon, and Chairman of the European Union Lady Ashton, who called for Mubarak listen to the voices of the protesters in Cairo's Tahrir Square and other cities in Egypt for the Egyptian Government to make the transition now.

Only one European leader who supports Mubarak's policies, namely the Italian Prime Minister Sylvio Berlusconi, who agreed to step Mubarak who want to survive until September 2011 and not re-nominate him as president of Egypt.

Demos in New York and other cities in the world have also been held to support the Anti-Mubarak protesters in Cairo and other cities in Egypt. The protesters in Cairo's Tahrir Square this morning shouting that they will stay on the field, and Mubarak was the one who should go. But was the shouting heard or seen by Mubarak from his comfortable palace? Probably not, because he probably was sleeping peacefully.

According to the Egyptian constitution that exists today, Mubarak's position was impregnable, unless he voluntarily resigned himself. In the meantime, one of Egypt's new emerged leader, namely Mohamed ElBaradei will seek a change in the Egyptian Constitution, but clearly this process will last very long, because the Egyptian Parliament was dominated by Mubarak's supporters in a large majority.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Ban-ki Moon suggested that immediate election in Egypt had to been done to choose a new president of Egypt. Perhaps this is a step in the fairest and most likely, provided that implementation is conducted honestly and fairly.

In the next two days the European Union will send a PM Greek George Papanderou to bring a letter of protest from the EU who opposed the use of violence against peaceful protesters, to be delivered directly into the hands of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

With the pressures of domestic and overseas to the above, whether Mubarak will stay on his throne? Last news said that President Hosni Mubarak will deliver a speech to the People of Egypt to night, Saturday, February 5, 2011.What are the contents of Mubarak's speech tonight? Whether he will resign himself voluntarily or whether he will remained as the President of Egypt that will made the majority of Egyptians angry? We'll see tonight ... its development.

Discussion on Neo-Liberalism Policy, Left and Right

The era of Neo-Liberalism Policy apparently had ended. Market force is no longer assumed as sacred and always right. In a meeting at Toulose, French President Sarkozy declared: "The thought about market force as super-force that cannot be defeated by whatever regulations and political intervention was a mad idea".

Prime Minister of Australia from Labour Party, wrote an essay in "The Monthly" magazine earlier this year: "The global current economic crisis is the peak of the "Neo-Liberalism" policy that had been used as a guideline of many governments since 1978". Mr. Rudd now replaced that policy with a new policy called "Social-Democratic Capitalism".

Mr. Rudd promised the active Government role in controlling the economy, eventhough he still keep the policy of "Open Market" for Australia.

The world is now replaying the situation of the year 1920's. In 1926 John Maynard Keynes wrote "The End of Laissez-faire" and showed how productive was capitalism if it was managed, not let run freely. Not long after, America and Europe tried to combine the dynamics of capitalism with smart mananagement of technocrates, a new economic policy popularly called "Keynesian Collaboration".

Well-known economist Joseph E. Stitglitz queried if we are now imomplementing the "Keynesian collaboration", for seeing from the USA to Indonesia - the change in the traditional economic policy by increasing the role of Governments in controlling the economy, such as providing public funding for "economic stimulus package" to stimulate the country's economic growth.

Vice Presidential candidate that strongly critisized the Neo-Liberalism Policy is Mr. Prabowo Subianto, who declared that Indonesia should discard this Neo-Leberal economic policy and replaced it with the new "Peoples-oriented Economic Policy". With this new policy, he assured that Indonesian economic growth can be increased to a double-digit growth to bring prosperity to the wjole people of Indonesia.

TV Discussion by three Indonesian economic practitioners

An Economic Discussion Forum was held on Sunday night, May 17, 2009 on how best to manage the Indonesian Economy for the next five years to be adopted by the winner of the coming Presidential Election on July 9, 2009. Three economic practicioners were present, namely Mr. AS Dillon, and two former Indonesian Ministers, Mr. Siswono Yudhohusodo and Mr. Rizal Ramly. The following is the summary of the discussion:

  • A good government leader is the one who works hard to promote the interests of the people of Indonesia, and not his personal interests, his group or the interests of foreign entities.
  • According the US National Intelligence Committee (NIC) there are five countries that have future development, namely China, India, Indonesia, South Africa and Brazil. However, Indonesia with its large natural resources may not be successful because its leaders were not wise and had a changing economic policies.
  • We need to have a clean Government that have responsible economic policies.
  • We need to create a new economic policy that defends the interests of the majority of the Indonesian people, such as in the management of the natural resources, and the exploration of them to the benefit of the Indonesian people, and not for the benefit of foreign investors.
  • We need to create Indonesia that has self-confidence and able to manage its natural resources, not depending on foreign experts.
  • We need to create a wealth of jobs for providing welfare to the people of Indonesia.
  • The future Government of Indonesia should be able to stabilize basic needs prices for creating welfare and security for the people of Indonesia.
  • The Goverment of Indonesia should provide sufficient health care budget, so as to make Indonesian people healthy and strong to be more productive.
  • There is a need to control the Indonesian population growth, so that the welfare of the people would not be degraded by the lack of foods.
